An architect who practised in Johannesburg, active from 1915 to about 1957, Leitch was a member of the Association of Transvaal Architects in 1915. He had married Mary Ann Leitch (nee Donald) in Scotland in 1908, and they had two daughters. Their older daughter, architect Marjory LEITCH, married George ABBOTT.
Arthur Leitch retired in 1957. In 1959 he is recorded as a retired member of the Transvaal Institute, of address 121 Jan Smuts Avenue, Parkwood, Johannesburg where he is still recorded in 1969. His wife had died aged 48 in Johannesburg in 1929.
