The book lists and describes 48 of the houses in Mill Park. "...this publication, grew out of a concern for the fine quality of one of Port Elizabeth's oldest suburbs. It was felt that Mill Park was an area of some uniqueness based in large part on an exceptional collection of domestic buildings, some of which may well be amongst the finest examples of buildings of their style in the country." There is a section discussing the architectural influences. All the houses were built between 1911 and 1937 except for one which was built in 1948.
Each house is described and has a black and white sketch.
There is a description of the building elements used in the houses, categorized and with sketches.
