The sandstone foundation stone of the church has an Inscription in German incised in v-cut lettering.

The transcribed inscription reads:

DIENET DEM
HERRN MIT
FREUDEN
A.D
1906

The inscription translated into English is: Serve the Lord with gladness (joy) AD 1906
