(AB&E Nov 1935:9) ------------------- The original 9 hole course was built in the 1920s on the farm "Klein Tuin". The first timber Clovelly Golf clubhouse was completely destroyed by fire in the late 1920s. In 1933 an 18 hole course was built. A new clubhouse was built in 1934, becoming Clovelly Country Club. In July 1955, an electrical fault burnt down sections of the new clubhouse. The dining room with its oak ceiling and timber rafters was completely destroyed.
