Originally known as the 'Suburban Masonic Temple', this was the meeting place of several masonic lodges based in the southern suburbs. The Cape Peninsula Organisation for the Aged developed a retirement complex on the property in the 1990s, and converted the temple building into the CPOA's head office. (Arthur Radburn, July 2024)
