JOUBERT HOUSE
THIS CAPE DUTCH HOUSE WAS ERECTED BY PIETER GIDEON
JOUBERT IN 1853. A BANQUET WAS HELD HERE IN 1880 IN HONOUR
OF PRES. PAUL KRUGER, GEN. PIET JOUBERT AND OTHER MEMBERS
OF THE THIRD INDEPENDENCE DEPUTATION. THE BUILDING WAS
RESTORED BY THE MONTAGU MUSEUM AND OPENED BY THE
STATE PRESIDENT MR MARAIS VILJOEN D.M.S. ON 14 OCTOBER 1983.
