| Shell Training Centre - SA Naval College | ![]() | |
| Originally the Shell Training Centre, now the South African Naval College. The elongated structure is a high-calibre example of the practice’s work, incorporating features of the International Style and reminiscent of the Dessau Bauhaus rhythm in the placing of the bedroom balconies. North-facing rooms share a common corridor along the south facade and a delicately glazed box envelopes the generous public stair to the west of the building. The solid eastern facade is punctured only by round portal windows alluding to the landings of the service stair within.
