The Foundation Stone was laid by Mr Max Goodman on 24th November 1946. In 1953 the Schul was relocated into the Lower Ground level and the original Schul became a hall. Archive photographs on the right are copied from a framed collection of photographs - displayed in a meeting room at Lower Ground - which records the construction process and is titled: COMMUNAL HALL INSPIRATION + FULFILMENT 24th November 1946 4th August 1947 Submitted by William Martinson.
