The plans for this building where originally drawn up on a speculative basis but Eveready bought the site and plans prior to construction. The Plans where therefore modified to suit their requirements. Eveready occupied the building until 1973 by which time they required larger premises. A much larger factory was built in Eveready Road and the original factory was sold. The building is extant but has been extended and altered over the years and is no longer recognizable.
