Steel members of the steel structure of 30m span was supplied by Braithwaite and Kirk of the Crown Bridge Works in West Bromwitch, England who supplied the structure for the Road Bridge over the Touw River and later supplied the structure for the second rail bridge over the Gamtoos River..
