Winning Entry

400 unit village made up of Courtyard units, each serving 24 house units. A detail plan of one Courtyard is shown. The system allows for community cohesion in small units for diverse peoples. Safety is through close surveillance.

Each Courtyard is attached to a large linear park on one side. A shared vehicle court is attached to the entry side This connects to larger scale urban facilities : taxi rank and market. This is a principle of Link and Space that expands, progressively from small units to embrace the whole city.
