He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate architecture studies at UP, and then registered as an architect. He worked in practice at BILD ARCHITECTS, and then did his professional registration under HONIBALL ARCHITECTURE with his father, Thomas HONIBALL. After that he did a post professional masters at UCT in landscape architecture and worked at GREEN INC LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS. He then rejoined the family practice just after COVID, in 2019, and has been involved with Honiball Architecture since then. Currently [2026] he practises in both architecture and landscape, working on the latter as a design consultant, and he also handles design and supply.
