SPOOR, Hessel

Architect

MSc BI (Delft), ISAA, CPIA.

Born in Bodegraven, South Holland, the Netherlands, son of Cornelis Spoor (1878-1956) and Ybeltje van der Vorm (1879-1963) (FS). He trained in the Netherlands where he obtained an MSc from Delft. He came to South Africa around 1939 and worked for PERRY & LIGHTFOOT in Cape at about that time.

In 1959 he was in partnership in Cape Town with RFH CHAPMAN (cf CHAPMAN & SPOOR).

He married Arisca Hendrika Cornelia Schouten (1912-1983) in The Hague, South Holland, the Netherlands on 1937 01 20 (FS).
