Obtained a Diploma in Architecture from the University of Cape Town (n.d.) and registered with the Institute of South Africa Architects in 1927. By 1939 he was working for PERRY & LIGHTFOOT in Cape Town. He became an Associate member of the RIBA in 1947 and thereafter (1950) was working in Salisbury, Rhodesia (now Harare, Zimbabwe). In 1964 he changed his name to Brompton by which time he was living in Australia. ISAA 1927; ARIBA 1947.
