Trapvloer

_____________________________________________________

A circular threshing floor bounded by a low wall which was often constructed as a series of orthostats with rubble infilling. The wheat was spread on the floor and trampled by the hooves of horses. Frequently a small stone building was erected as part of the trapvloer boundary and in this the threshed wheat was stored.
