Forward by Ronnie Kasrils
Dennis John Claude was born in Kimberly, South Africa. He studied architecture at the then University of Natal, Durban and later, after a spell of six years in London, taught in the Department of Architecture in Durban. His own architectural work has always focussed on buildings with a social and communal focus. He possesses a wealth of knowledge about many unrelated matters: Egyptian belief systems, ecology, history of art and architects and the physics of the universe. These lifelong interests in the world around him, including human beings, manifest themselves in the pages of this book. Dennis is married and has three children and five grandchildren and now lives in Gauteng.
