SITTING on a small plot this house again has main, car and service entries between two high white walls on street boundary. Main entrance runs up a slight ramp flanked by two white walls. Entrance court is covered by a vine-clad pergola. Living, dining, study, entrance and kitchen are all one volume screened by cupboards.

The living room has a view onto the Stellenbosch mountains to the east and still has north light. Bedrooms are reached down a slight ramp. All bedrooms face north.

Weather protection is provided by extending the Big 6 asbestos cement roof over windows and by shutters.
