A fortified gangers cottage GC17 built circa 1877/8, during the Ninth Frontier War on the line of the newly-completed railway from East London.

Submitted by William MARTINSON.

The ruins of this interesting heritage site have been significantly damaged. The two straight walls forming the two main elevations have now both been demolished. Those responsible have removed the bricks for re-use. (William MARTINSON, September 2022)
