Old Magistrate’s Building Mashishing (Lydenburg), Mpumalanga

Date: pre 1899 Type: Government Buildings Status: Extant Street: cor Rensburg and Voortrekker Streets

The building was erected before 1899, when the Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek governed the Transvaal. It was used up to 1986, when the new magistrate’s building was built on the corner of Voortrekker and De Clerq Street. It is currently (2010) occupied by the Department of Internal Affairs.
