The style is Early Art Deco with stretched classical details seen as been an influence of the work of Louis Sullivan and the Chicago School. The block remained unchanged until the mid 1990's when an extra floor was rather crudely added and some of the balconies infilled [architect unidentified]. It is understood that the layout of the flats themselves were also altered so as to increase the number of units prior to being sold under sectional title.
