(Afr Archt Nov 1912: 91-2) The collecting and safekeeping of historical material relating to [Mahikeng] was initiated by the local Rotarians. Part of the old Town Hall was then set aside for its display, and in 1976 the small collection was proclaimed a provincial museum.
