The building originally accommodated Morum Brothers, a local branch of a successful General Dealer business in Queenstown. On the inside face of the front doors the word 'habe[r]dashery’ is still (2026) visible painted on the glass. It later became Bombay Bazaars, a general dealer run by an Indian family. There used to be a painting on the wall of an immigrant ship crossing the sea to South Africa. The building is now a grocery shop run by foreigners.
