Also called Rodwell House

Home of the Rand Pioneer, JB Taylor and his wife Mary (Mollie) Gordon. Taylor bought the original home 'Rodwell' on Lot 8 in 1932. In February 1934 he sought permission to demolish 'Rodwell' (a home with 8 rooms) and build 'Lancelevy', a mansion of 13 living rooms, bathrooms etc. In 1960 the name reverted to 'Rodwell' (Mike Walker information in the KBHA Bulletin No 6:190-191).

2026: Currently a hotel.
