Due to an increase in the number of pupils, the property Rozenfontein was purchased from Mr G Louw, and the first proper school building was occupied on 30 March 1876. The school remained there for 25 years. The school shared premises with the First Class School for Girls and together they were known as the “Paarlse Opvoedingsinstituut” (Paarl Educational Institute).
