Click to view map Coordinates: | Originally listed as a watering stop on the farm Vaal Kop, 50 miles from Durban in 1880, thereafter Umlaas Road appeared as a stopping place in the 1883 time-table and was opened as a crossing station on in February 1901. From Cato Ridge the line runs to Camperdown Railway Station and on to the junction at Umlaas Road Railway Station. At Umlaas Road the rail line splits into three directions.
