Date: 1907 Type: Railway Bridge Status: Destroyed 1959

The bridge connected the north and south sides of Port Shepstone until it was washed away by floods in 1959. Port Shepstone was laid out in 1882. By 1901 the railways had reached North Port Shepstone. In 1959 a new concrete bridge was constructed closer to the river mouth.
