See more photographs A pioneer settler structure, possibly of the first built on the site. Its appears that the original was a simple symmetrical cottage, inevitably under thatch. This demonstrates the use of sod construction, a material to hand as the site is proximate to a nearby river. It has been altered and extended with sun-dried brick to create the wagon house.
