The Boskop Yacht and Aquatic Club, formerly known as the Boskop Yacht Club, was founded in 1959 when the building of the Boskop Dam neared completion. The first clubhouse was a corrugated iron structure. During the winter months of 1976-77 the members themselves built the new clubhouse, without making use of any contractors.
