Swiss chalet theme. "Here he designed a small mountainside home, where the lower part of the mountain stone grows out of the rocks around; the upper floor is simple enough, the decoration being supplied by the woodwork of the overhanging eaves, canopies above the fretwork balcony and also above the windows and entrance porch. This porch is on one side and is reached by a flight of stone steps with fretwork banisters; a design that was original and timeless. (Picton-Seymour 1977:121).
