On 28 June 1934 Lots 6 and 7 – now 37 Quarterdeck Road - were sold by Harold Molteno Anderson and his sister Evangeline Stanford (nee Anderson) to Julia Lamont Grant. She in turn sold them in 1940 to Violet Elizabeth Brown who employed architect Kenneth Vernon COMMIN. He designed a house for which plans were passed in 1940. Construction was completed by builder J Passet in 1940. In 1942 Violet Brown sold the house to Gwendolen Lotta Kilvington Connock.

In 1949 and 1950 plans were drawn by architects WALGATE and ELSWORTH for additional rooms and changes to the stoep. Owned by Frank Cannock from 1942 - 1963.

The house today is largely unchanged from when it was bought from the Connocks in 1963 and transferred to the name of Joan Barbara Cooper.
