Crab Apple Cottage
This cottage was a barn to the
Goodwin family that owned the whole
block. This building was located 3 stands
down and was moved to this position. Mrs
Audrey Elizabeth Postma had a passion for
old buildings and moved into the Goodwin
House, with her family, in 1971. Mr Hilton
sold the run down barn to Audrey for R50.
They moved the structure stone by stone
repositioning each stone in its exact
position. It was first converted into a
garage for motor vehicles and then
into a cottage where Audrey and
Helenius Postma retired in 1994.
