1912: Extensions by MILNE and SLADDIN (Pryce-Lewis list 15 145). Canigou House, built in the 1800s, was bought by Mr Robert Ramage, the first headmaster of Rondebosch Boys’ High School, in 1900. It served as the headmaster’s residence and a boarding house for the schoolboys until 1940, when it was condemned as being unsafe and was demolished. It was replaced with a new building in 1941.
