This watermill, which houses the original milling machinery from the farm Dwarsrivier near Clanwilliam, is modelled on the watermill at the farm Bovlei near Clanwilliam, which the original owner HC Nieuwoud had copied in 1931, Alwyn Burger of Citrusdal making the waterwheel, the original being of Cape Cedarwood.
