The Muizenberg Anglican congregation split from the Kalk Bay parish in 1890 and erected a simple sandstone rectangular church in that year. In 1905 the plan was altered to a T-shape by the addition of cross-wings. (Fransen : 2004:155)

Built with donations from Harry Grey, Earl of Stamford (land), Mrs Hogarth (building), Professor Gill who owned a quarry nearby (stone).

Built in the Sophia Grey tradition. Lectern donated in memory of two brothers killed in WW1. Altar painting by JH Amshewitz. Baroque altar crucifix salvaged from Belgian church after WW1. (Source: H.
