Click to view map Coordinates: | The factory for Mobbs in Port Elizabeth (1952) by Gertruida Brinkman was constructed in only seven months using a double storey reinforced concrete frame that supports long-span half-shell roofs. Natural daylight is admitted through southeast-facing clerestory windows that were fitted with sand-blasted prismatic glass, which, when reflected from the white distempered curved roof forms, facilitated an ‘entire lack of shadows’.
