The MOTH building and associated memorial are situated to the west of Rissik St and immediately to the south of the railway lines. MOTH stands for the Memorable Order of Tin Hats - founded in 1927. The free standing MOTH memorial is located outside on Remembrance Plain. Set on a triangular island, each face of the triangular obelisk had an inscription in raised bronze letters dedicated to one of the three divisions of the Defence Force: Air Force, Navy and Army. These inscriptions have unfortunately recently been removed by scrap metal collectors. (William Martinson, February 2022)
