| (>Pryce-Lewis list item 2197) This was 'Talana', one of the earliest buildings to be erected on the new Paradise Estate in Claremont (see also 'House CH Hodgson', 'Villa for F Dormehl' and 'House FE Cartwright'). It is thought to have been named after the battle of Talana which was fought in 1899. In its final years, the house was the 'Paradise Residential Hotel'.
