Archaeologicae Site - Farm Hartbeespoort

Carbon datings indicate that this Iron Age site dates from about• 480 AD, which makes it one of the earliest known dwelling places of food producers south of the Limpopo River. A large number of hut floors, iron-smelting furnaces and artefacts have been exposed here, as well as the remains of several individuals.
