St Peter's Church in High Street, West Bank, was founded in 1857 by the then-Anglican Bishop of Grahamstown (Makhanda) Henry Cotterill, who served in this position from 1856 to 1871. The church still serves (2020) as an Anglican Church to the community of the West Bank. (William Martinson, July, 2020)
