Click to view map Coordinates: | Linear building constructed with precast concrete products as part of project to produce the 'Win-Kit' pre-cast concrete building system. The one side of the building was a Laboratory and the other an Office with a concrete Weigh-Batching Plant in between, and Storage at ground level. The unusual 'aeroplane wing' roof structure was formed with a wall plate on either side, two 50 x 150 purlins; and a stressed skin formed with corrugated iron to the underside (forming the ceiling) and to the top side. Certain unsympathetic changes have been made to the building - by subsequent owners - since it was originally constructed. William Martinson, March 2020. |
