Housed the printing presses for P. M. Cross.

"Built in 1899 for commercial purposes, this building reflects a style popular throughout South Africa at the time. The plate-glass display windows are well protected from the elements by the elegant wrought-iron verandah, enticing customers into the shop. There are attractive small Victorian tiles at the entrance and rooms still have their original steel-pressed ceilings. It is the last intact double-storey commercial building left in Paarl from the late Victorian period." (A Walking Tour of the Historical Heart of Paarl)
