The plate-glass display windows are well protected from the elements by the elegant wrought-iron verandah, enticing customers into the shop. There are attractive small Victorian tiles at the entrance and rooms still have their original steel-pressed ceilings. It is the last intact double-storey commercial building left in Paarl from the late Victorian period." (A Walking Tour of the Historical Heart of Paarl) Books that reference P.M. Cross Building
