Click to view map Coordinates: | A trigonometrical survey beacon comprising a truncated conical concrete base surmounted by a vertical steel shaft with four square sheet metal vanes attached to the upper end. The steel shaft was housed within a sleeve that permitted the shaft to rotate. The four vanes are held at right angles to one another by four sets of paired flat bar straps set a short distance from the shaft. The identification code 57 M0 0P was impressed into the top face of the concrete base. This trig survey beacon replaced the earlier survey pile situated a short distance away to the south. A small metal plaque is affixed to the face of the concrete base:
