Hopefield se NG kerk is vergroot en opnuut ingewy op 20 Desember 1911. Die inwydingsrede is uitgespreek deur ds. B.P.J.

In ds.

Hopefield's Dutch Reformed Church was enlarged and re-inaugurated on 20 December 1911. The inaugural speech was given by Rev. B.P.J. Marchand, administrator of the Cape Church.

The congregation could only in 1877, 25 years after its establishment, afford a church on the property. In Rev. Steytler's time two wings and a tower were added.

The church hall was erected in 1926 in the Cape Dutch revival style. This style took root in South Africa in 1900 and was especially very popular after 1920.
