The house is a shadow of its former self. The original small scale house with steep double pitched central roof and attached lean-to roofs on either side has been replaced by a large scale double pitched roof with gang-nail trusses and fibre cement roof sheeting. Two precast concrete columns and two cast iron columns on the verandah and the 'memory' of the original gable end wall are the only remnants surviving of the original house.
