(Christelyke Jongeliede Vereeniging - Christian Youth Union) of the Dutch Reformed Church accepted the design plans by John T. Cooper for the erection of a hall on the plot next to the Dutch Reformed Church. The building was erected in 1894 by the Rogers Brothers of Oudtshoorn at a cost of £1 180 1s 3d.
