WYNNSTAY
A landmark building, Wynnstay was
designed in 1913 by Percival Hill
Mitchelson for Mr Gregory, the Messenger of
the Court who lived here with his wife until 1931.
This attractive and deceptively asymmetrical
house has large bay windows and a broad veranda
flowing into the garden. It was bought by the
Municipality in 1970 to be demolished for the M6
motorway, but was later leased to the Children's
Theatre instead.
