The church was designed by renowned artist Ruth Everard who lived on the farm Bonnefoi. For a time in the early 2000s the church was converted into a restaurant at which time the walls of the apse were painted white and a kitchen was built on. The church is currently - 2013 - back in commission and a rector travels from Ermelo once a month for service.
