LOCATION: Voortrekker Road in Parow, a separate Municipality in Cape Town. Design of a factory for the manufacture of clothing. Population of 1 000 workers. Single-storey factory space with capabilities of extending laterally. Appended to it a 2-storey amenity wing (incorporating storage at ground level). Vertical expansion potential, with staff facilities treated as mezzanine to the factory space. A pedestrian ramp passes a central point on an adjacent building allowing direct access to amenities. This building could be vacated in half a minute. This building was altered at a later stage. (Righini 1977:54) 2013: Now used by the Foschini Group and called the Lefic Centre.
