Click to view large map Coordinates: | Award for Architecture Citation The pavilion located on the well-used south bank of the uMngeni River estuary was designed to accommodate an office for the promotion of eco-tourism, a veranda for group activities and public ablutions while itself setting an example of environmentally responsible design. The jury found the typology of the pavilion, its detailing and landscaping pleasant and appropriate for the purpose, and noted the care given to green issues including the self-generation of power.
