Fort WhiteROYAL ENGINEERS: Architect
Qonce (King William's Town) district, Eastern Cape
Named by General Order of 13 June 1835 after Major TC White, Assistant Quarter-Master General of the Burgher Force and military land-surveyor and topographer, who was killed near the Mbashe River. (Coetzee:204)
